Studio Ausgang is an architecture and design studio led by Chas Wiederhold, an Ohio-based licensed architect with over a decade of experience working across residential, commercial, civic, and cultural projects.

Chas has a Masters of Architecture from the College of DAAP at the University of Cincinnati and experience in firms of vastly different scales, from a two-person design team in Chicago to a 500-person office in Portland. Before founding Studio Ausgang, Chas spent seven years at one of Cincinnati’s largest architecture firms, contributing to high-profile community projects across the region.

A recurring theme in Chas’s work is context, not just zoning or codes, but history, ecology, craft, and how a place is actually used over time. Whether it’s a renovation, addition, civic space, or installation, the goal is the same: create spaces that feel intentional, grounded, and durable.
